Casey has a short poetry collection ‘Waiting at Bloomsbury Park’ published by Big White Shed, 2017 and his debut full length collection ‘Adjusted’ was published by Verve Poetry Press. “Adjusted is a brave, full-bodied, sweet textured first collection from Casey, filled with ‘the little fragments of broken people’” Roy McFarlane

Theatre

Casey’s play GrimeBoy was commissioned by the Birmingham Rep to run in April 2022, and his play Please Do Not Touch was selected to part of the Vault festival in 2022, before being transferred the Pleasance in February 2022.

Casey was selected as one of 25 Champions of Black Theatre by the Alfre Fagon awards and has been through theatre development programs at The Bush Theatre and with Apples and Snakes and The Birmingham Rep.

COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION

Casey’s work across many spheres is unified by his deep commitment to reducing inequality, and his drive to ensure young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have the opportunity to discover their own rich potential. Casey has worked tirelessly to tackle disadvantage with a number of charities and community groups in and around Birmingham.

Casey’s contribution to education and as a dedicated member of his community has been recognised a number of times. Most recently Casey was awarded a Doctorate in Education by Newman University,

Music

Casey’s journey as a writer, as a performer, as an activist… pretty much the whole journey started with a young MC, spitting bars in bedroom studios, jumping on sets on pirate radio stations and in underground raves.
